Meet my friend Jon!
After graduating with a degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in 2001, Jon pursued a career in law enforcement by joining the Racine Police Department. Initially starting as a patrolman for a variety of shifts, he worked responding to a variety of calls gaining valuable experience. In 2005 he was transferred to the Community Orientated Policing division, where his assignment was street-level drug enforcement, active warrant arrests, and assisting with any search warrants being conducted with the investigative division. This included working with the FBI, US Marshals, and DEA. In 2008 Jon was promoted to detective where he was assigned to the Major Crimes division which included Homicide, violent crimes, and sex crimes. In 2012 he was assigned to the human trafficking team, at the time one of the first in the nation. He was also assigned to the crowd control team which among other things assisted with diplomatic protective assignments.
Some of his career highlights include graduating from the FBI street survival shoot school, Homeland Security Active Shooter School, The John Reid School of Interrogation, and being recognized as an expert witness by the State of Wisconsin. Jon participated in multiple nationwide anti-human trafficking federal operations by the FBI. He has also assisted in protecting various presidents, senators, and congressmen while working in conjunction with the US Secret Service.
In 2015, Jon was recruited for a chief interrogator position within the federal government. Having been diagnosed with C-PTSD, Jon instead retired with honors to include multiple unit citation awards, life-saving awards, and the exemplary officer award and transitioned to a small business owner. In 2016 he began the next adventure of opening up The Kenosha Tattoo Company. In 2018 the Kenosha Tattoo Company was recognized as Kenosha’s Best Tattoo and Piercing Shop, winning the award again in 2019, 2020, and most recently in 2021. The Kenosha Tattoo Company was recognized as one of Chicagoland’s best tattoo and piercing shops in 2021 as well. Currently, The Kenosha Tattoo Company is recognized as one of the top tattooing establishments in the midwest with an incredible 5600 sq ft facility in Kenosha Wisconsin, offering 10 private rooms and a variety of artists. He currently resides in Kenosha, Wisconsin with Devon, his wife of 15 years, 2 children, 2 cats, and his loyal service dog Bodhi.
