Welcome to Gratitude:UnFiltered with host Joshua T Berglan where today we have the author of the book Timing of Life, Leroy Mealancon!

A teacher by profession, a business management professional by education and an altruistic human by heart, Leroy Mealancon Jr. was born and raised in Palmdale, California — a peaceful place where people still value compassion and kindness over worldly benefits.

He obtained a degree of B.A. in sociology from California Polytechnic State University which helped him understand the core social problems and identify their possible solutions.

An MBA degree with exceptional grades from Capella University and joining The NSLS, the nation’s largest leadership honor society, were two of the most significant transformative decisions in his life.

Both of these helped him refine his leadership skills, build a successful career and take a practical step towards what had been heartfelt for so long–helping others materialize their dreams with the power of his words.

Leroy feels thankful for having a selfless spirit, and he believes that everyone should always strive to help others, because it’s the only way we can create a bond between people and make this world a better place, for all of us.

Joshua T Berglan

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to live mana ministries, presents Gratitude:UnFiltered. We are in for a treat today. We have the author of the book, timing of life, Mr. Leroy Mealancon, Jr. This is going to be awesome. Thank you so much for watching on the Live Mana Worldwide Multimedia Broadcast Network. If you’re watching on social media or download the podcast, thank you so much for your support. Go ahead and share like, and subscribe. We are blessed to have you here. Thank you. All right guys, really quick. I’m going to get into something before I do all the start. This is the start of a new year. This is the new year’s Eve 2020.

Joshua T Berglan

This has been the best year of my life. And I want to, I want to say so much from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for all of your support. Thank you for helping usher in and make my dreams come true. You, you supporting us as allowed us Jessica and I to go out and do some pretty cool things and we are grateful for you. And then I want to read this prayer and you guys are welcome. If you want this prayer, I will send it to you. This was gifted to us over Christmas. I saw this and I thought it was really, really powerful. And I, and it’s really just kind of revived me a lot every time I read it. So I’m going to read this prayer. I’ll try to read it slow enough that you can kind of mouth it too, but it was powerful.

Joshua T Berglan

And I wanted to share it with you, but thank you so much for being here, father, God, you have invited me into a place of intimate encounter with your heart. You are my King and my bride groom. The one who utters secrets into my soul and lists me into higher places with you. Your word says in Proverbs 25 two, that it is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but it is the honor of Kings to search that matter out. Jesus, give me the honor of a King to search out the wonderful mysteries you have for me to find. Show me great and mighty things. I do not know Jeremiah 33 three.

Joshua T Berglan

Give me ears to hear your voice day and night. Lord, I give you permission to speak into my dreams and proclaim the identity purpose destiny you have created just for me. I am not afraid of my future, but run toward it. And toward you, Jesus, this, I surrender myself to your Holy spirit, that I might bring heaven to earth and comfort. Strengthen, encourage those who need you most here I am send me. I invite, I invite your kingdom to come and your will to be done in my heart through dreams, visions, words of knowledge, knowledge, and prophetic encounters.

Joshua T Berglan

I pray all this in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen. If you want this, I’ll send it to you.

What’s up everybody. Welcome to Gratitude:UnFiltered I apologize a bit, a bit about the long intro, but it was having fun. So what are you going to do? I hope you love that prayer. I’m more than happy to send it to you. You can drop me a DM on any of the social media platforms. I’m easy to find. I am so grateful for our guests because his book I’m going to put up here on the screen really quick. His book could not be any more timely for the time that we’re in. Now, the timing of our timing of life achieve all of the blood, all of your blessings and goals. This is going, I, I can’t wait to read this book.

Joshua T Berglan

I’ve I, everyone I keep having authors on that might have a stockpile of books to read, but this one kind of, from what I can, what I’ve read about it, it speaks to my spirit quite a bit. So I’m really, really excited to have the man Leroy Mealancon. We did a set it right the first time Sean, say it one more time. Mellow song, more beautiful coming from a French guy than some white dude from Oklahoma. Anyway, my man, thank you for being here. How are you today? I’m doing great. Thank you for having me. Absolutely. First things first.

Joshua T Berglan

What are you, what have you been most grateful for this year?

Leroy Mealancon

Honestly, the thing I’ve been most grateful for is to have time to spend with my family and level ones this year. That’s been a opportunity. That’s priceless.

Joshua T Berglan

That’s really good. You know what? I think I may steal that from you because this is the year that God gave me a family back and we don’t need to go. This is not about me right now, but this year I got a family and that, and I’m getting to spend a lot of time with them has been incredible. I can’t imagine having a family the way my, I mean, when I had a family before the life I lived, if COVID would have hit back, then that’s really terrifying. Anyway. Well, let’s get right into it, man. First of all, you’re from California, right?

Leroy Mealancon

Born and raised. Awesome, man, I

Joshua T Berglan

I’m, I I’m not born and raised there, but I call LA home even though I’m in snowy, Minneapolis. That’s where I found life. Well, that’s why I found death and life. So LA has always been very, very special to me, but I love Southern California. You just can’t get much more beautiful than that. The vibe there is amazing too. So I want to ask you though, what got you started? Like what motivated you to write this?

Leroy Mealancon

But what motivated me to write this book is there was times I missed in my life because of my selfish desires, because I thought that things was supposed to go the way I wanted to go so bad. And I thought it’s supposed to look the way I wanted it to look. Instead of accepting the time, the timing of life, King Solomon, God used King Solomon to talk about. There’s nothing new under the heavens. There’s a time and season for everything.

Joshua T Berglan

Yeah. I’ve read that today. You read that today. Yeah, that was in my, I’m doing the yearly Bible reading plan and that was the section of Proverbs. It gave me today. Oh, wow. Wow. So go ahead. I’m sorry. Continue.

Leroy Mealancon

No, so I, yeah, so King Solomon and it really made me ponder about it and you know, made me realize the opportunities that I missed in life and the times I could have achieved the goal, the blessings that God was giving me, he was giving me his blessings and I wasn’t taking them. And so I would do my suffering. I wanted to share the others because I want others to achieve all their blessings and goals in life. So I’m here to I’m here and I’m here to write this book to help others, how I want the knowledge to help myself. Also,

Joshua T Berglan

How has writing the book impacted you the most?

Leroy Mealancon

Honestly, the book has made me realize so much about myself. It made me realize that living in the moment is so important living in the moment, not living in the past because when I live in the past, I have regret. And then when I live in the future is anxiety and worries. But living in the moment that is, that is such a precious time that God has given us to just praise him and be grateful for everything that has given us. And it just inspired me so much that I wanted to write the book, not just for Christians and believers, but I also wanted to write the book for nonbelievers to so they could get to know the biblical principles that God has given us to achieve these goals and blessings.

Joshua T Berglan

That’s so good, man. That is so good. I want living in the moment has been something that I’ve really this year have had to force myself to learn how to do. I I’m a future tripper, but it goes along with God, God shows me what’s going to happen, but it’s years ahead. It’s not today. And my wife has been really, really good about bringing me back down to earth and not kind of, cause sometimes I see that in the distance and I like think it’s happening tomorrow.

Joshua T Berglan

And it messes with my brain sometimes. And like I’m also reading a devotional from Charles Stanley called waiting on God. And that is been man, like it’s it’s it’s because I’ve had to learn that. And it’s kind of a weird paradox. It’s like, God has given me this really cool gift about seeing what’s going to happen. Seeing what’s possible for people seeing that, seeing what’s to come, but I’ve also had to learn my, the paradox is learning to be in the moment and appreciate the moment and be grateful for the moment. And that’s been a trip like that’s been tough because like I’m on it now.

Joshua T Berglan

And, and you know, I gave my life to the Lord a little over five years ago, I guess it’s six years ago now dates, you know, I guess the drugs kind of screwed with my head and remembering dates, but being able to, you know, I, what was I trying to fight his brain farted, but anyway, it doesn’t matter. The point is is that this has been a really great year for me to learn how to appreciate the moment, appreciate the journey. Oh, I know what I was saying. This six year journey with the Lord. When I, after losing everything, it’s been a grind it’s my faith has been tested at every angle. I mean, I’ve had to really, really fight to, to survive sometimes, but I’ve also learned to truly, truly trust the Lord and be all in my whole life is at this point is based on serving the Lord full time and learning to trust his timing over my own because my time he would screw it all up.

Leroy Mealancon

Yeah, exactly. That that’s exactly where my book is about. I have a chapter about being still being still is so important and it’s so hard to do. Patients is so hard to do, you know, God bring, he shows you these beautiful things to come and you’re just excited. And you, you know, you’re excited like a kid in a candy store. You want it and he’s gotta be still and be patient. And there’s one of the reasons why I also use a lot of successful people in the world, like Steve jobs and Oprah Winfrey and stuff to read.

Leroy Mealancon

So reinforce what I’m saying, how they might, may not be aware of it, but they’re even using biblical principles to succeed in life. And God has given these, given us these biblical principles to succeed. And that’s basically what the book is about. Also, I have chapters in the book that helps on getting through the tough times because we all need help get through the tough times and that can’t be done alone. You know? And the book talks about how taking time out, working out, you know, take care of your health, just factors that can help you physically relieve the physical body so that you can live in the moment.

Joshua T Berglan

Yes, it’s so good, man. What, what kind of like research did you do? Did, I mean, did you just go straight to the Bible or where else did you seek research to be able to develop this book?

Leroy Mealancon

I researched a lot of interviews by other successful people. Like I said, with Steve jobs, Oprah Winfrey, there’s a lot more in the book Morgan Freeman. The, the reason is for that is because the Bible is what sparked, what the idea, the Bible sparked it. When I read that by King Solomon, it made me ponder. There’s nothing new. It made me realize that I feel like I’m alone going through things, but I’m not alone. There’s somebody else going through the same thing. There’s nothing new under the heavens. And I wanted everybody to know that because Covid has a time of making people feel alone because we can’t go out and socialize.

Leroy Mealancon

That’s so good, man. I just wanted people to realize that they’re not alone.

Joshua T Berglan

That’s that’s, that’s so good. I, there was a couple of things I’m going to reset and go back to something you said just a second ago, about some people applying biblical principles, whether they realize it or not. I mean, heck most of the motivational books that are out there have been somehow taken from the Bible. I have a, I had one of my mentors and I used to save as a secular mentor, but now he’s given his life to the Lord. And since then, I mean, it was something that I prayed about nonstop and this guy’s a world. He was teaching kingdom principles, like everything he taught were straight biblical principles and he was not a believer.

Joshua T Berglan

And I used to call, I call him Reverend all the time. Like even before he gave his life to the Lord, I was like, I’m telling you, man, you’re going to be a Reverend you’re preaching the kingdom principles every day. You just don’t even realize it. So a lot of people do that because here’s the thing, that’s it, this is very, very true biblical principles or principles, kingdom principles work for everyone. They work for everyone, whether you’re a believer or not. However, if you do not act in obedience, you do not get the full fruit of that’s available for you. And you get to deal with the consequences of not being obedient, but principles work when you use it.

Joshua T Berglan

And it’s a beautiful thing. I love it. I also love the fact that this is also, this is for the audience. It’s going to see this later. Those of you’re on live TV. It doesn’t really really matter. But on social media, this is a prime example of why I started my own network because social media has killed. I just got word that social media has killed our feet, killed our feed, which go figure, but thank God for TV. So I appreciate the people that are watching this not live too. God bless you guys. Also, I don’t know if it was my prayer or what, but anyway, this happens and talk about being in the moment. Like I, in those kinds of moments, this is a prime example. When I was building this, this is the kind of thing that would freak me out because I would just start immediately.

Joshua T Berglan

Like I I’ve had to learn when life happens just to embrace it and to adjust it and move with it. That’s not a strong suit for me because normally I’d be sweating right now because of what just happened. Literally our feed got killed, but we’re, but we’re live on TV. So that, cause I just, I just saw that I’m going, Oh my gosh, this is amazing. But I w where, how many chapters is the book? The book is eight chapters. Oh. So it’s just like, you can get to it and get it done.

Leroy Mealancon

Exactly. A short read. Exactly. Exactly. For the help right away.

Joshua T Berglan

Is it something that, is it something that the more you read it kind of like, we’re the, you know, when you read the Bible, you can read something one day and then go back to it. And it means something totally different. Does that have that same kind of effect too?

Leroy Mealancon

Exactly. That’s yes, exactly. This book has that this book is you may be going through a situation one time and you relate more to chapter two and you come back later in life, you relate more to chapter seven. This book is meant to help you get through each timing of life that you may go through.

Joshua T Berglan

That’s really cool. I like books like that. There was another book that I read. I mean, I’m not trying to plug someone else’s book, but go to the extraordinary mind was like that for me too. There’s two books that I will go back to. And it sounds like yours is going to be the same way, but there’s two books that I go back to all the time and I get a different experience. It’s the Bible and code of the extraordinary mind. Have you read that? No, I have not. Oh dude. It’s it’s it broke me out of the box or it broke me out of the box that I was putting myself in and I have always appreciated that. What, what kind of authors do you like to read? Like what that you were going to, I mean, outside of the Bible, but what kind of authors, what motivated you or, or, you know, that inspired you to write?

Leroy Mealancon

I would have to say authors such a

3

Yes.

Leroy Mealancon

Well, there’s a lot of authors I’ve read in school. When I was in college at California Polytechnic state, they allow me to read through so many books. I really can’t pick one author right now. I read through those books and it allowed me to realize that you can help people through writing. I didn’t see that at first because I used to, I used to be a football player. You know, all I seen was getting my school and playing sports. I didn’t know that we can help others also by writing. I thought it also, I thought it all had to be verbal.

Joshua T Berglan

Oh wow. That’s interesting. I have never, you know, reading was always such a challenge for me because of words bounced around the page. I even with the Bible to this day, I would rather listen to it. Like I put ear phones in and then I write when I feel something I write. And so I love audio books, but there’s something about, you know, when I do get, find a book that I’m able to read, because that, for some reason it catches my focus immediately. I’m able to hyper focus on the words to keep it from bouncing around. I, I love to hold a book and there’s just something special about it.

Joshua T Berglan

How do you feel about, I mean, I know this is so much as digital now. How do you feel about that? Do you feel like the art of writing is being lost because of digital? Or do you think that it’s going to circle back around where people want books? Like what’s your feeling on all that?

Leroy Mealancon

There’s nothing new under the heavens it’s going to cycle around. It’s going to eventually cycle around. That’s why I’m releasing a book as an audio book, hard copy and an e-book on Kindle and audio books for everybody to get their preference. So to get the message out there to everyone,

Joshua T Berglan

I really liked that too, man. That’s good. Nothing new under the sun, you know? And I, and I, every time when I read that, and again, depending on what’s on in the world, every time I’ve read it, it means something different, kind of like what we were talking about earlier, reading it today. The first thing I thought about is we’ve been through what we’re going through before we have the blueprint already of how to get out of this. I think they’re trying to hide the blueprint, but we have it. And I personally think, I personally think that the reason the blueprint is as simple as what Jesus said when he said, keep your eyes fixated on him.

Joshua T Berglan

Because honestly, media part of what motivated us to start a media organization, but on the nonprofit side was to get truth out. But what’s happening to us right now with the media is that it’s causing us to be dis disoriented, discombobulated, confused. What’s real. What’s true. One minute, someone that you trust says something that you’re going, wait a second, but you just said this and like, everyone’s kind of contradicting each other. I swear to you. I think about this all the time. Every time I see all this misinformation or disinformation that’s out there, I just immediately hear God say, as my son said, keep your eyes fixated on me.

Joshua T Berglan

And it makes perfect sense because when I do that, all of a sudden, I see this, the world of endless possibilities, I see endless opportunity. I see nothing but love. I see nothing but people to serve. And I see the difference I get to make in the world. But man, that conspiracy side of my brain minute, it seized. Holy geez dude. Like it’s, I mean, I get locked down. I’m gone. Yeah. Jeffrey Epstein. Didn’t kill himself. He’s still alive. He’s going to show up and blah, blah, blah. You’re like I can, you know, and like, we’re run by reptilians and I go complete conspiracy brain, but you know, but I’ve been, I grew up, Oh, what am I doing?

Joshua T Berglan

And I noticed that it Dole, it wrecks my spirit. It keeps me away from being who God created me to be. How do you feel about what I just said?

Leroy Mealancon

Honestly, I was just talking to my dad about this and you know, I’m gonna quote him real quick. He said, when we get fixated in a world, it chokes us spiritually. It chokes us. And I definitely agree with you. I also have a part out of my book where a personal experience of mine that I’ve been through, graduated from college, didn’t make that NFL. And I was on social media and everything. And I see my friends having houses already and having families, I felt like I was behind in life and I just achieved this great accomplishment that so many people don’t achieve. And I felt like I didn’t do anything. I felt worthless because I was so fixated on social media.

Leroy Mealancon

I had to take a little break from it for a little bit, just, you know, like a week. But after that I got back on and it refreshed me, not just mentally, but spiritually. I was able to see life again, but also be myself and live according to God. Amen.

Joshua T Berglan

God is good. I liked that. I, what your father said is your, are you, would you say your father is your biggest influence?

Leroy Mealancon

Yes. Yes he is.

Joshua T Berglan

That’s so cool to hear, you know, and I don’t want to, again, it’s, I couldn’t, I, I didn’t have a good relationship with my father when he was alive, but now I think my relationship with my earthly father is better now that he’s dead and I don’t mean that to be, but it’s because I’ve forgiven him and I’ve been able to look back at going God. He was really kind of amazing. And yeah, he just didn’t have awareness or whatever. Like I, I mean, I’m able to kind of understand and be more understanding towards all the things that happen now. And I’m able to look at him like I really love my dad, you know? And I couldn’t do that before.

Joshua T Berglan

I mean, I made a mockery of his funeral. I mean, it’s, and that’s a story we don’t need to go into right now, but I want you to speak to this because I live in Minneapolis and you know this from living in California, that’s part, it’s an issue. There it’s really an issue all over the United States where African-American fathers have been removed from the home for whatever reason, like, you know, there’s all kinds of reasons for it. And can you speak to the, what you saw maybe with your friends that didn’t have fathers in the home and what it’s meant for you to have a close relationship with your father, your earthly father, can you talk to that at all?

Joshua T Berglan

Honestly, in the African-American community. I mean, I, and we, and the reason I’m bringing this up is because in Minneapolis alone, you know, we see this every day, we hear this, the, the moms and the grandmothers crying out because the kids have, you know, given into addiction and other things. So that’s why I’m bringing this up.

Leroy Mealancon

Yeah. Okay. Well, well, one of the things that I’ve definitely noticed is I used to take my father for advantage. I, I didn’t appreciate him the best all the time. Growing up, when I got to high school, it was a big shock to me because so many of my friends would tell me I don’t have a dad. I don’t. And they don’t even know what their dad looks like. And I noticed the impact on them. I even heard my friends tell me such things as, I don’t know how to be a man, my mom can teach me how to live life. I don’t know how to be a man.

Leroy Mealancon

I never learned from a man how to be a man. I’ve seen those impacts on people and how it really affected them. And, you know, they had to overcome those challenges. A lot of people that I’ve talked to, a lot of my friends have turned to God, what they did not have with their earthly father. They found what their heavenly father and man, and that’s, that’s something so beautiful that I can’t even, I can’t even speak on it. The word I don’t have the words for how beautiful that moment is when I hear those testimonies from Peter.

Joshua T Berglan

Sure. Yeah. That’s, that’s powerful. And that is true. Cause that our heavenly father can fill in the blanks that no one else can or fill the holes that no one else can God, I tried everything under the sun, literally draw every type of drug, every type of sex, everything, and nothing ever was going to fulfill me the way the Lord has full bait. And then by him filling me, it’s been amazing how he’s restored me and then brought the things that I had lost and took advantage of, or didn’t appreciate or didn’t value. And I just, it that’s just how amazing God is.

Joshua T Berglan

Like, even if we didn’t have, you know, earthly parents, whether it was a mom or, you know, we were missing there or we lost a loved one, there’s really only one that can ever fill that hole. And that’s the Lord. And it’s beautiful. I really appreciate you speaking to that night. Cause it’s it again, it’s an epidemic. And a lot of our mission, we have a, a youth ministry called youth voices for the voiceless. And it’s basically, what’s on basically, it’s a, it’s a, it’s a youth ministry that teaches the youth, all things, media, everything from broadcasting, how to, if they’re inventors and they have an idea. If they’re an author, if they want to be start a ministry or a talk show or the music career, it’s teaching them basically all of the steps that are needed and providing the platform for them to put their art out.

Joshua T Berglan

And, and we do that because one, I remember what it was like to not have a voice that was a big part of it. But also because there’s a lot of people that I spoke at an event, let me back up real quick. I spoke at an event in Chicago and it was an emcee of this event called the power of we. And they brought in some kids from the inner city to, to be there in the audience. And it was a, basically a fundraiser to be able to, to help raise funds for them. We heard a lot of stories about what it was like for those kids just to get to school every day. Being, you know, being bused in at 4:00 AM not getting home till midnight and they’ve got homework and they’re got to study hearing all of that, but then hearing their stories about what it was like if they said, I want to be a police officer, I want to be a teacher.

Joshua T Berglan

I want to go to school and be a doctor. How people in their own families would say, who do you think you are? Do you think you’re better than us? That really written my heart out. And then of course, of course, knowing that we’re going into a world again, seeing the future of things that are going to happen and what God has helped us prepare for this is a lot of those jobs are going away. Anyway, a lot of those jobs that you could count on at the convenience store, even working at Walmart or whatever, it may be waiting tables, those things are going away. The robots AI is taking a lot of people’s jobs.

Joshua T Berglan

And the only way to stay ahead of the robots is to become a brand. Or I actually don’t even like to say a brand anymore. I like to say a mini media company. And so we’re equipping the youth with that because I’m sorry, but we live in a day and age, but what, what kid doesn’t want to be on TV? You know, they’re on social media. If you’re on social media, you might as well be on TV, but at the same time, let’s do something positive with it. Let’s take your message. Just create a safe atmosphere, a safe environment for you to be able to let your voice or your art be heard. So that’s why we started that. It was a big inspiration because it had such an effect on me because, you know, I was fortunate.

Joshua T Berglan

Like I grew up, even though I squandered everything and threw everything away because of my choices. I mean, I grew up in privilege. I mean, we did lose everything, but I saw what success looked like when you see what something looks like, you have at least a general idea of how to get there. But when you haven’t seen it, it’s tough. And so I wanted to be able to provide that for people.

Leroy Mealancon

Yeah. That’s powerful. That’s such a powerful message that really got me thinking about a lot of things. You know, for example, that reminds me of the story of King David. When he was a kid, you know, he wasn’t treated the best by his father. King David was hiding from the King in caves for 20 years. And next thing you know, God brings him to be the King. And it just, it reminds me so much of that. And because he didn’t see what success looked like when his father was abandoned and him, he, but he came to rule over people and be one of the greatest Kings well-known still to today.

Joshua T Berglan

Amen. And you know, it’s funny, this goes back to everything under the sun. Like there’s nothing new here where you are, again, someone pulled him out of that cave. Someone believed that had God that inspired me. Holy Jesus. It just hit me. I mean, look, hold on. I am going to make a little slight confession. I do visualize I quit calling myself Josh after I gave my life to the Lord. And I just started saying, I am Joshua. I’m sort of going by my given name because I wanted to be Joshua in the Bible. Like I figured that’s why I was given the name. So I did ask my mom though.

Joshua T Berglan

I go, was there any particular reason why you gave me the name Joshua? Because people will tell me, you know, we don’t have our names are not by accident. And so I’ve always taken that to heart. Whether it’s, you know, BS or not, I don’t know. But I, I was like, yeah, I’m Joshua Good mean, she goes, I’m not that creative. Sorry to disappoint you. So I don’t care. I’m still Joshua. Like I’m leading people to the promised land. But when you brought that up about David, I’m like, Holy freaking crap.

Joshua T Berglan

That’s amazing because you know why it also goes and talks about in the Bible that, you know, the meek shall inherit the earth. And there’s a lot of different interpretations about that. But the way I’ve always interpreted that are the people that have been shunned by society. The people that have been discriminated against the people that have experienced racism or have been held down because they wouldn’t sell their body. You know, you think about the entertainment industry and like, I’m not going to spread my legs for you or whatever. And, and therefore, so I’m not going to get the part or the people that have been screwed over by bad contracts. You think about all of the artists in the recording industry. And like basically, you know, whether they really sold their souls or not is, is whatever.

Joshua T Berglan

But those contracts that they sign, you’re signing your life away. And you’re signing. Basically, if you don’t get, if you’re not fortunate and do whatever Jay Z has done, or you do with some of the other artists have done, like of course, Nipsey hustle and master P are huge inspirations to me because they went the hard route and they own their own content. They did the work, they didn’t let anyone own them. They own their message. And they did the, they hustled and they got it out there like mass. When I got to meet master P it blew me away because I remember his story about how no limit was created. That inspires me. But there’s so many kids that sign those contracts.

Joshua T Berglan

They don’t know how to read contracts. They don’t know that they should hire an attorney. So they, they signed this away going, I’m getting a million dollar advance, not realizing that we’re going to give money to manage your money to agent. They’re going to have to pay back some of that stuff that all the bullying, the house, all that they’re in debt. They thought they had a million dollars, but really they’re 15 million in debt. So then they have, they’ve had to sell out. I, when I learned all that stuff from working in entertainment and getting over myself, I’m like, I’m never doing that to anybody, but there’s gonna come a time. And that time is now that the artists that have been held back, the people that have been held back, the people that have been forced into poverty because of the controlling elite or whatever you want to believe, their time is going to come, where they get to rise and they get their opportunity to have success.

Joshua T Berglan

And I believe that time is now. And I, this is again, this was what fueled our desire to create a media organization.

Leroy Mealancon

Wow.

Joshua T Berglan

I get breached you, man. Sorry. I get fired up to talk about this stuff because

Leroy Mealancon

No, they’re not they’re wrong. I love the passion behind. I love the passion behind it because so many people realize you meant when you don’t have the, you need passion behind something that you’re doing to drive what you’re trying to achieve. That dream and goal that passion behind it, what people like to follow. They get behind the support. So I, I definitely support you. And I definitely appreciate and acknowledge everything that you’re doing. Joshua it’s, it’s a true blessing. It is to bring in the people.

Joshua T Berglan

Well, it’s a blessing to get to do it. That’s who, I mean, cause it’s it’s people. I think, I don’t know how you feel about this. I’d love to get your opinion on it. But I really believe that the dreams and visions God gives us is it’s him. That excite us. But those are the dreams and visions that we get that we don’t believe a real. I believe that those dreams and visions are God showing us what’s possible for us. And I don’t, I don’t believe for one second that God mocks us or teases us. I believe that as his truth going, this is what I have for you. And so when, when people, I hear some Christians and some of the church go, God’s not here to make your dreams come true.

Joshua T Berglan

Well, who gives you the freaking dream in the first

Leroy Mealancon

Place? God

Joshua T Berglan

Gave you the dream. I didn’t, I didn’t know anything about going to serve in Africa as when I was seven years old. When I got my first vision, I didn’t know anything about media. When I got the vision for what God was going to have us create, I didn’t even know it was going to be in us. I have never even, I didn’t even hold a microphone. I didn’t even have any money to do any of the stuff that he showed me that I was supposed to go do. In fact, everything that we’ve been able to do has only happened because of serving and showing up and just stepping out in faith. But if I wish and if anything, I ever, if I, when I die, if I’m known for anything, I hope.

Joshua T Berglan

I mean, other than that, it’s never too late to turn your life around and all of that. But it’s that I influenced people to know that their dreams and visions are God’s showing what’s possible and nothing

Leroy Mealancon

Short of that. Yeah. How do you feel about that? I agree. I agree with you. God works inside of us. He works inside of us. He, he inspires us to do these things and achieve these goals. Things that we never thought of or things that we never thought we can do. I never, I never thought that I would be writing. I would write a book when I was a kid. I didn’t think that when I was a kid also, too, if we can relate this back to Exodus where Moses, Moses didn’t know he was going to leave his family and become the leader of the Hebrews and lead them out.

Leroy Mealancon

You know, God has worked in us. And if somebody, if you were to talk to Pharaoh about that during his time, he rode a bike. You’re crazy. You’re not going to do that. You’re going to stay here and enjoy the good rich life that you have, right? That’s the rich life. And God inspired that. And so I do believe that God gives us these dreams and goals for us to achieve because that’s what, that’s his will.

Joshua T Berglan

Amen. Amen. My man, I’m going to give you the last word. Like you close it out with anything that you feel led to say, anything you want to plug anything at all the floor is yours.

Joshua T Berglan

So it will have the TV link, like the video player, the transcription, and then the, the audio that goes out to radio and podcast. And then I’ll have all of your links put in there for you. Perfectly timely.

Joshua T Berglan

God bless you, man. Thank you so much for being here. Thank you you for having me Joshua, it’s been a blessing. Amen. Talk to you soon. Happy new year. Happy new year. Bye-bye absolutely amazing. And social media, you can go fly a kite. This is why I started a network. Tired of being censored or have my feeds cut off anyway. So good. God bless you. Anyway, man. Lee was cool. I liked Leroy. That was awesome. You guys go check out his book. I’m going to put it up here again. And then of course, those of you who are listening and watching on the, or listening on the podcast or the radio or watching on TV, you’ll be able to see this.

Joshua T Berglan

And of course, those of you who are reading the blog afterwards, you know, you guys check this out, the links will be in here for you. You’ll just have to click below. And I really appreciate you guys supporting this broadcast. You have an amazing new year. God bless you. And thank you for all of the support. Thank you for, you know, it’s funny. That’s not funny. It’s, it’s, it’s a God thing. It’s a blessing, but like without support, this is, you know, support matters. And here’s why, because you make it a lot easier when people are supporting you in showing their support. It gives you a little bit more confidence that you’re on the right path, you know?

Joshua T Berglan

And, and sometimes I know it’s great to have complete faith in God and I do, but it sure makes it a lot easier having support and your support of the network. I mean, I woke up this morning to see that the audience has tripled and I mean that’s for all of our broadcast. And that means a lot like sharing in a Facebook post earlier today, about Oprah. When people called her said she was crazy for starting her own network. I’m like, well, no one could call us crazy because no one even knows who we are, but we felt led to start a network and we did. And to see all of you support it, the live model, worldwide multimedia broadcast network, it means a lot.

Joshua T Berglan

It really does because it’s like watching your baby walk for the first time. And it means a lot. So God bless you guys. Happy new year, have an amazing, amazing night.
