The Hebrew idea of understanding is the ability to put all the pieces together.
It is being able to see both the whole and the individual parts that make up the whole; plus how the parts fit together to form the whole.
Without this kind of understanding, life will be haphazard, inconsistent, and ultimately unfruitful. Understanding life is what stands under us — it supports us, it bears us up during times of difficulty and struggle. Do you ever feel as though your life is disjointed?
This is happening and that is happening, but you can’t see how it all fits together.
This is evidence of a lack of understanding and vision.
